Please see below an extract from an email from the Coldharbour Mill Trust.

Well done to everyone who was involved.

"I am delighted to announce that the King has awarded you collectively the King's Award for Voluntary Service 2023. Coldharbour Mill is among 262 organisations nationally, and just 3 in Devon to be recognised for your outstanding contributions in the best traditions of volunteering.

This is a highly prestigious award and is the equivalent of a honours list award for the organisation.

Chair of Trustees, Bryher Mason: “We are all delighted and honoured to receive the King’s Award for Volunteering. Our volunteers support the charity with many tens of thousands of hours each year and everyone deeply appreciates this recognition. This award is a real testament to their commitment to preserving and sharing our national treasure”

In due course there will be an awards ceremony and two volunteers will be asked to attend a Royal garden party at Buckingham Palace next summer.

For some this award recognises many decades of volunteering, for others a few weeks, months or years, every single minute you have contributed to Coldharbour Mill, the positive impact you have had on the nation's heritage, communities and special interest groups has rightly earned the recognition you deserve.

Thank you from us the staff who are very proud to support you in your endeavours, Coldharbour Mill is led across all our activities by dedicated volunteers."
